Cotton Reviews: Kohepets Shopping Haul

As the saying goes “too many cooks spoil the broth”. With so many online pet stores (and derivatives on Carousell, Shoppee, etc) popping up left, right and centre, it can be really hard to choose which pet store to purchase your supplies from. With this in mind, when Kohepets contacted us a month back to try their services, we were more than happy to find out what differentiates Kohepets to make them a notch above the rest.

Three years back (how time flies!) when we first adopted Cotton, we spent way too much unnecessary money on items that were either of poor quality or used once and never used again. To help clueless pawparents, Kohepets actually offers free sample for certain selected brands (Under Sale Tab > Samples), hence you can be assured of the item’s quality before committing to purchasing. Let’s face it, pet supplies can be terribly expensive with limited usage and the worst part apart from an empty wallet is buying something that your fussy dog hates or causes a bad reaction in them 😦

For Kohepets, we felt that the THREE most striking aspects were as follows:

1. Quality and quantity

We did several price comparisons across pet shops and found that Kohepets was much more competitive in terms of pricing. Whatever promotions offered by other similar pet shops, Kohepets either topped it or matched it, which is really great for us pawparents.

With over 2500 items up for sale, their selection is perhaps one of the greatest out there. Their items are also “tried and tested” before sale, so you can definitely be rest-assured of the quality of goods offered!

2. Efficient delivery and free delivery over S$60

Upon completion of my order, Ursula from Kohepets followed up with it and promptly told me which items were out of stock, then offering a similar alternative for me to choose from. Subsequently, the delivery was arranged and I received the items shortly after.

In case you were wondering what Cotton got, we reviewed out favourite items from the haul and they can be found here.

3. Rewards/Sample system

As mentioned earlier, we really love Kohepet’s free sample concept! Aside from that, another striking feature would be the Kohe Points system. Essentially, like many rewards systems, the more you spend the more you save off your next purchase, and for this you could get up to 5% cash rebates off your next order. More details of this Kohe Points system can be found on Kohepets’ website (at the bottom), but here’s a screenshot of how it works.

So for example, for Cotton’s shopping haul, the total was $180.

Using their rewards system, I would have 360 Kohe Points, which entitles me to $3.60 off the next order! It might not seem like much, but if you were to buy all your pet supplies every 3 months (i.e. shampoo, pee pads, food, treats, etc) and it costs $350, you would have 1400 Kohe Points, entitling you to $14 off. Having some discount is better than no discount right? 🙂

Overall, shopping with Kohepets was a really smooth and fuss-free process. Even with me trying to nit-pick, there are truly not many flaws I can think of. Friendly customer service and great products and affordable pricing, what’s there not to like?

Again, thank you Ursula from Kohepets for reaching out to us, we had a bark-riffic time shopping with Kohe Pets!
